The Bingham Scholarships Fundraising Appeal

In Honour of:

Master Bingham was a British judge and a valued member of Gray's Inn. He served in the highest udicial offices of the United Kingdom as Master of the Rolls, Lord Chief Justice and as Senior Law Lord before his retirement when he focused his work as a teacher and lecturer in human rights. He died of cancer at the age of 76.

Objective:

The Honourable Society of Gray's Inn is dedicated to ensuring that the scholarships it awards are competitive and provide a good platform from which students can progress throughout the legal profession.

Background:

As a first step in early 2011, the Inn set out to encourage Gray's Inn members of Chambers to donate as much as they could to The Bingham Scholarships Fundraising Appeal. Over £400K was raised!

Going Forward:

We now wish to perpetuate this giving and ask all our members for an annual donation of just £100.

TO DATE THE INN HAS RAISED OVER £550K!

The Inn is still very much undertaking to raise funds for The Bingham Scholarships Appeal.
