Established Practitioners

The Bar Council has also introduced a continuing professional development scheme for established practitioners. This was introduced from 1 January 2001 for all barristers who have completed the New Practitioners' Programme. Now all practitioners are subject to the EPP and must complete 12 CPD hours every calendar year.

Please visit our CPD section of the website for information on forthcoming opportunities for obtaining CPD hours. Please click here for details of the next lecture.

As an established practitioner you can contribute to the success of Gray's Inn training by becoming involved as an advocacy trainer or a judge. Many of our senior members, including senior judges, give up much of their free time to training. If you are interested in becoming a trainer please contact Rachel James in the Education department at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
