President: Barry Griffin
My overall objective is to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Committee. I am tasked with leading the Committee to set goals for the year and to secure the successful execution of our many social and scholastic events. I am a point of contact for all Gray's Inn students, a link to the Inn and a support for other members of the Committee.
I have set three main objectives for the year, namely:
(1) Representation
(2) Inclusion and
(3) Development
It is my wish that the Committee fosters a strong relationship with members of the Inn and its staff in order to better lobby for our students, make a concerted effort to reach out to all students, and to offer events that will help to professionally develop our students.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations from Saint John's University (USA) and an LLB (Hons) from King's College London.
Presently, I am undertaking the BPTC at City University.
Secretary: Amy Rees
I will be organising the activities of the committee, scheduling meetings and helping our ideas get realised.
Previously, I studied Law at UCL and I spent a year working in the Civil Service.
I am now studying the BPTC full time at City Law School and hope to become a criminal barrister.

My role is to organise lots of fun things to keep all you student members interested in the Inn!
I am a full-time student at BPP.
I previously studied History at Warwick University.
I would love to practice in crime and in my spare time I am trying hard to turn myself into a runner for the London Marathon 2013.
Publicity Officer: Alexia Solomou
My role is to serve as a bridge between the AGIS Committee and the student body of Gray’s Inn, through the AGIS newsletter and all available social media.
I am a part-time BPTC student at BPP, while working full time at as Research and Publications Assistant to the Director of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law at the University of Cambridge.
Previously, I was a law clerk at the International Court of Justice.
I hold an LL.M from Columbia Law School and an LL.B with French Law from UCL.
I intend to practice public law, both domestic and international.

My role is to assist students with any problems they may face over the course of the year.
I study the BPTC full-time at Kaplan.
Previously, worked in firms dealing mainly in family and PI work.
I studied Physics at the University of St Andrews and Law at Coventry University.
I hope to practice in family and crime.

I am responsible for compiling the Gray's Inn Student Law Journal. I will coordinate the review and selection of papers and I will oversee the production of the journal itself.
I study the BPTC full-time at City University London.
I hold the following degrees: MA MSt English Literature; DPhil Old Icelandic Literature; Graduate Diploma in Law.
Before taking the GDL I researched medieval Icelandic law and literature at St John's College, Oxford. I also taught Old and Middle English at a number of colleges.

I am responsible for helping to organise mooting competitions and workshops, and answering mooting questions from students.
I graduated in Law from UCL in 2012, and am now taking the full-time BPTC at Kaplan.
I am interested in mixed civil and criminal law.
City University Law School Representative: Jeevesh Augnoo
I ensure the liaison between Gray’s Inn and City Law School, in relation to any information which needs to be relayed, either from the Inns to the students and vice versa.
I am currently studying the BPTC full time at City Law School.
I previously studied the LLB at City University and I worked as an in-house legal assistant.
BPP Law School Representative: Thomas White
My role is to represent students from BPP and put forward any concerns or ideas from BPP students to the Inn and AGIS.
I am currently studying the BPTC part-time at BPP.
I previously studied law at Leeds Metropolitan University.
I am currently a sales assistant at Clarks, while searching for something else.
I am hoping to go into either Criminal, Human Rights or Immigration law.
I play keyboard, piano, guitar and bass - intrigued if anyone else plays anything - maybe we could jam sometime?
College of Law Representative: Arion Mapp
I am ultimately here to assist all Gray’s Inn Members studying at the College of Law in any way possible to ensure our success as a whole.
I am a full-time student at the College of Law (Bloomsbury).
I hold a Public Policy and Management Degree from York University and an LL.B from the University.
I was previously an intern at Cox Hallett Wilkinson, a commercial litigation firm in Bermuda.
My hobbies range from sports (American Football and Basketball) to music and art.
I am interested in Criminal Litigation, Human Rights Law and Employment Law.
Kaplan Law School Representative: Frances Harris
I provide a point of contact for all members of Gray's Inn at Kaplan Law School. Please get in touch if you have any questions relating to the Inn or AGIS activities.
I am a full-time student at Kaplan Law School.
I previously studied Law at Jesus College, at the University of Cambridge
I hope to practice Family Law.
In my spare time, I enjoy music (I play the violin and sing) and hill walking.
Birmingham Representatives
1. Gareth-Lee Smith
I serve as a liaison between students and the Inn to ensure they are not left out of the loop.
I am currently studying part time at Birmingham College of Law.
I hold an LL.B from Swansea University.
I previously practised as a personal injury junior litigator.
I am a big poker fan.
2. Emma Williamson
My role is to ensure effective communication between the Inn and the students at my provider, and to raise any concerns to the AGIS committee if necessary.
I am a full-time student at Birmingham College of Law.
I hold an LLB with French and an LLM in EU Law from the University of Birmingham.
My interests include chocolate, travel and volunteering with Birmingham’s refugee community.
Cardiff Representatives
1. Nia Gowman
My role is to provide a link between the Inn and the students at Cardiff Law School.
I am currently studying the BPTC full time at Cardiff Law School.
I hold an LL.B from the University of Bristol.
I was previously a Risk and Compliance Executive.
I am a fluent Welsh speaker. I like rock climbing, international rugby, live music and good food and wine.
2. Lee Kelleher
I am responsible for providing a link between Gray's Inn and the students of Cardiff and to ensure on circuit QS run smoothly.
I am a full-time BPTC student at Cardiff University.
I hold an LLB from Swansea University.
I am a keen Rugby Union player and I regularly go clay pigeon shooting.
Leeds Representatives
1. Ann O’Brien
I am currently studying the BPTC part time in Leeds.
I encourage and facilitate participation of the part time students in the activities of both the Inn and the provider.
I am a mature student with a background as a Registered General Nurse, Midwife and Radio Presenter.
I am currently lecturing in Law at Edge Hill University and facilitating the Law Enrichment Scheme at Sefton Sixth Form College.
My hobbies include running, and learning to play the ukelele. I have a liver spotted Dalmatian and keep chickens.
2. Jonathan Robinson
My role is to represent the interests of students at BPP Leeds.
I am a full-time BPTC student at BPP Leeds.
I previously studied Law at the University of Sheffield.
I currently sit as a Magistrate in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
When I qualify I would ideally like to practise criminal or personal injury law or a combination of both!
Manchester Representatives

I previously read law at Durham University and completed an Advanced Masters in Public International Law at Leiden University in The Netherlands.
I am a big sports fan, ale enthusiast and Mancunian.
Hoping to practice in criminal law, with interests in public international and international criminal law.
2. Ibrar A. Sheikh
I am a full time BPTC student at Manchester Metropolitan University.
I hold a Graduate Diploma in Law, and a BSc. In Economics and Geography.
I previously was Management Accountant ACCA, Management Consultant and Managing Director of several private limited companies.
I seek to practice advocacy in Crime and Costs.
I am a keen sailor, mountain climber, fell walker and photographer.
Northumbria Representative: John Holdsworth
My role is to represent the interests and views of the students at Northumbria and to help run Inn events in the North East.
I a full-time BPTC student at Northumbria.
I hold a GDL from the College of Law in Birmingham.
I hold an MTheol Degree from St Andrews University, Dean Close School, Cheltenham.
I am a Cathedral chorister at St Mary's, Newcastle and I enjoy musical theatre. I also enjoy golf and squash as a way to take a break.
Nottingham Representatives:
1. Naakesha Seth
I am the Representative for Nottingham Trent BPTC Provider.
My position on the committee is to liaise with the other Gray's Inn members at the University, and to organise qualifying sessions on circuit.
I am a full time student at Nottingham Trent University.
I completed a LLB Law with German Law degree before commencing with the BPTC.
I spend my spare time outdoors and I love carriage driving (horse and carriage!)
2. Chloe Griggs
UWE Representatives
1. Rema Jean Bleik
My role involves representing the interests and welfare of Gray's Inn UWE student members, acting as a line of communication between members and the Education Department, arranging qualifying sessions, mooting and other social activities at UWE.
I am a full-time BPTC student at the University of the West of England.
I hold a BSc Honours in Law with Business Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law.
I previously worked in Corporate Hospitality: everything from a Chef to a Hostess, from Royal Ascot to Santa Pod!
My hobbies include cooking and baking.
I am interested in Employment Law and Criminal Law.
2. Zach Jones
My role is to provide a link between the students at my provider and Gray’s Inn. I provide a first point of contact for any questions from the other students, as well as passing on information from the Inn.
I am a full-time student at the University of the West of England.
I hold a Law Degree from the University of Hull.
I work as a marshal at Skirmish Paintball in Exeter during the holidays and I work part-time at Superdry during term time.
I enjoy playing sports, particularly football and paintball.
I hope to practice Intellectual Property once I am qualified
